Prenatal Classes

Couples will cultivate greater relaxation, intimacy and understanding for childbearing. The presence, participation and encouragement of a woman’s partner is a powerful aid to labour and delivery.

The benefits of Yoga and rotating Babies® are reducing pain and increasing the joy of giving birth. Partners learn to feel more connected to the unborn baby and learn how to support their expectant partners with confidence and sensitivity. Couples will practice giving and receiving in a supportive partner yoga practice that is beneficial for cultivating connection, and harmony throughout pregnancy and during labour.

This workshop is available for all partners of pregnant mothers. Beneficial at any stage of pregnancy. No previous yoga experience necessary. Book soon only 5 couples per workshop!

HypnoBirthing®

HypnoBirthing® is a comprehensive childbirth preparation course. Learn deep relaxation and self hypnosis techniques to eliminate the fear and tension that cause long labour and pain. The HypnoBirthing® program consists of five classes lasting two and one half hours each over a period of five weeks.

    Pre-Natal Yoga Pilates Fusion

    An integrated class of Pilates and Yoga practices with mat work, swiss balls, and some props. Physical postures (asanas), and breath-work (pranayama) help women relax and adjust to the physical, emotional and mental demands of pregnancy. Classes are designed to encourage acceptance of our bodies at this time, and are for the Mommy-to-be at any level. Check schedule for times. In studio classes limited to 6 per class and are assigned.

    Prenatal Partners Yoga and Rotating Babes Workshop

    Prepare for labour and birth with our Prenatal Partners Yoga and Rotating Babes Workshop! This workshop provides an opportunity for couples to enhance awareness and confidence in pregnancy, labour and birth.

    Learning functional yoga tools through discussion, gentle postures, breath work, meditation and massage. This workshop is available for all partners of pregnant mothers. Beneficial at any stage of pregnancy. No previous yoga experience necessary. Book soon only 5 couples per workshop!

      Rotating Babies is an approach to childbirth that focuses not just on dilation of the birthing person, but also the position of their baby during pregnancy and labor..

       Using principles of balance, gravity, and movement, parents are able to encourage their baby’s natural movements and rotation in birth with more ease and comfort. Partners become actively involved by learning techniques that help foster confidence and ease through the birthing process. Daily Essentials exercises:

      • How to Rest Smart and Move Smart in pregnancy and in birth for more optimal fetal positioning 
      • How to bring balance to your body and to your pelvis for birth
      • Basic anatomy of the pelvis, muscles and ligaments that play a role in birth
      • The levels of the pelvis and how your baby rotates through each level
      • Variations of labor patterns and what you can do to help facilitate descent of baby in labour.

      In studio classes limited to 6 per class and are assigned.

      Cancellations

      If you are unable to attend a class that you’ve signed up for, please give us a minimum of 12- hour notice, otherwise your class will be debited from your account. We would appreciate receiving as much notice as possible.

      • Cancellations may be done online by logging into your account, over the phone or email.
      • Schedule is subject to change with or without notice.

      Studio Etiquette

      • Please arrive 10 minutes before class to allow time to sign in and register
      • Please turn OFF your phone  there is phone use allowed in class
      • Please refrain from wearing scents/perfume to avoid allergy sensitivity for others.
      • We practice Yoga and Pilates barefoot; please remove socks and shoes outside the studio. Toe grip socks are available for purchase if needed.
      • We wash mats and props weekly, and students wipe them down after each use. They're free to use, but you may bring your own mat if preferred.
      • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and are a breathable material.
      • Yoga & Pilates are practiced on an empty stomach; avoid eating 2 hours before class.
      • If leaving early, take savasana first, then quietly exit, leaving props/mat behind. Do not leave during savasana to avoid disrupting others.
